dc.description David Joyner is a Senior Research Associate and Associate Director of Student Experience in Georgia Tech's College of Computing. His research focuses on online education and learning at scale, especially as they intersect with for-credit offerings at the graduate and undergraduate levels. en_US
dc.description Blair MacIntyre is a Professor in the School of Interactive Computing at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he has directed the Augmented Environments Lab since 1999. His research focuses on developing the potential of augmented reality as a novel technology and new medium for games, entertainment, education and work. en_US
dc.description Miroslav Malesevic is a digital designer and a researcher at the IMAGINE Lab and at the Center for GIS. He graduated from college of Civil Engineering and Geodesy in Belgrade, Serbia. Prior to joining the IMAGINE Lab, Mr. Malesevic was a 3D and visual effects artist working on various projects varying from architectural visualization to movies. en_US
dc.description Noah Posner is a research scientist with the IMAGINE Lab and lab manager of the Interactive Product Design Lab (IPDL). His focus is on creating interactive experiences that leverage physical interaction. en_US
dc.description Matthew Swarts is a member of the research faculty in the College of Architecture. His research focuses on the translation of human behavioral patterns and perceptions within real and virtual environments into computer models and simulations to inform the design decision making process. en_US

This talk explores the potential uses for extended reality in teaching and learning. We will discuss projects currently underway in Georgia Tech classes and discuss the future of XR in education. en_US
