ItemLibero Andreotti(Georgia Institute of Technology, 2009-03-25) Andreotti, LiberoLibero Andreotti, PhD (Arch 1980; M Arch 1982)is Professor of Architecture and Resident Director of the Georgia Tech Paris Program. He holds a Ph.D. in Architectural History, Theory, and Criticism from MIT. His main areas of interest are the history of European art and architecture between the wars and avant garde movements after World War II. Mr. Andreotti was a Fulbright scholar to Italy in 1989 and a Fulbright Senior Scholar to France in 1994. He is curator and editor, with Xavier Costa, of Situationist: Art, Politics, Urbanism held at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Barcelona and of Theory of the Derive and Other Situationist Writings on the City (Barcelona: ACTAR 1996). He is contributor and co-curator of the exhibition Mario Sironi: la grande decorazione at the Milan Triennale of 2004 (Milan: Electa 2004) and the at the Pinacoteca Nazionale di Bologna (2003). His writings have appeared in October, Lotus International, JAE, Architectural Theory Review, Built Environment, Design Studies, and Architecture and Idea. His forthcoming book Le Grand Jeu a Venir: écrits situationnistes sur la ville (Paris : Editions la Villette 2007), is funded in part through a grant from the French Ministry of Culture. Dr. Andreotti is also a practicing architect in Paris.

Atlantic Station and the Beltline are but two of the transformational projects with roots in Georgia Tech thesis projects. This panel discussion with young leaders in Atlanta’s urban design and development reflects on the role of the College in advancing more sustainable urbanism.

Wolf, III presented a lecture entitled "Harold Pinter, Ortega y Gasset and Other Rolling Stones." Harry Wolf founded his architectural practice in 1966 in Charlotte, N.C. In 1988, he formed Wolf Architecture in Los Angeles, where he has continued to produce distinguished projects, hallmarked by their concern for order and their quiet, yet powerful elegance. His work has received over thirty awards from the American Institute of Architects, and has, five times, received the Nation’s highest award for design -The AIA National Honor Award.

ItemManuel Cadrecha(Georgia Institute of Technology, 2009-01-07) Cadrecha, ManuelManuel Cadrecha (Arch 1977) is an expert in corporate, commercial and civic architecture. As a Design Principal at Perkins + Will with over two decades of experience, Manuel’s creative solutions have been recognized with numerous regional and national design awards. Manuel’s design for the CDC National Center for Environmental Health recently achieved a LEED Gold Certification, the First Federal Government High-Performance Laboratory to achieve that distinction. He is also a national leader for the firm’s corporate + commercial + civic practice. Manuel is recognized as a successful consensus builder, creating a unified design tone for each project. He is a visiting design critic at the Georgia Institute of Technology and serves on both the curriculum advisory board and the alumni advisory board. Manuel has also served on the board of the Latin American Association, the St. Joseph’s Mercy Care Board and the Cultural Diversity Board of Atlanta’s High Museum of Art. Manuel serves on the firm’s Board of Directors.
