dc.description.abstract In the last few years there has been a marked increase in the number of educational and cultural institutions worldwide which are in the process of developing institutional repositories. Though there is a dramatic increase in the development of institutional repositories, it is, therefore, a curious phenomenon that developers of these repositories often struggle with populating them with content. This poster displays information from a recently-completed paper, which explores this situation and discusses a needs assessment conducted at the University of Hawaii at Manoa to better understand how best an institutional repository can meet the research needs of faculty and researchers at that campus. Results from the needs assessment will be graphically displayed as part of the poster. en
