dc.description.abstract This study examines whether rapid growth decreases inequality primarily when it is based on an expansion of manufacturing jobs. To this end, we constructed a dataset to identify a specific set of countries that showed reduction in inequality and high or medium growth rates in order to explore, as case studies, the details of the connection between growth, technology and inequality. en_US
