The Living Building Challenge v3.0 calls for buildings to achieve net-positive water use. The current building codes in the city of
Atlanta make this impossible. The panel discussion will cover how to achieve net-zero or net-positive water use, the positive
impacts, the negative impacts, and how our current and future legislature views water use for buildings.

A lecture on Materials Transparency focusing on what is required in both LEED v4 and the Living Building Challenge and where the market is heading based on these challenges presented by the two rating systems. The lecture will incorporate representatives from Epsten Group, as well as Mohawk Group. The Mohawk Group has been engaged in the materials transparency movement and is currently taking their design studio in Dalton, Georgia through Petal Certification.
