dc.description.abstract The Office of Legal Affairs has documented goals in its written Strategic Plan. The Office of Legal Affairs Strategic Plan was reviewed in May 2000 at a staff retreat. The plan was developed in response to the Administration and Finance Goals and Strategies for 2000, which was drafted in October 1999. At that time each unit was to establish goals and determine measures of success. Thus the initial plan included goals with specific dates and timelines in which to meet certain specific goals. At the May 2000 retreat, the Office of Legal Affairs staff reviewed the plan to determine its success in meeting certain goals and updated aspects of the original plan. Subsequent evaluations took place at staff meetings June 6, 2000, August 31, 2000 and September 25, 2000. The staff did a comprehensive review again at a retreat in April 2001, with internal staff meetings to follow up on discussions at the retreat on May 30, 2001 and September 12, 2001. The plan was reviewed again in May 2002.
