dc.description.abstract Recently, the interest on the environment has been important. Countries now gather to solve those environmental problems, such as Kyoto Protocol and Paris Agreement. One of the biggest factors that causes the global environmental issues is the emission of carbon dioxide. This paper assesses the impact of a country’s development to the increase of amount of CO2 emission, with hypothesizing that there will be a positive relationship. Single and multiple regression models depict that there are some significant positive relationships between CO2 emission and increase of GDP per capita, meaning that countries tend to emit more CO2 as they seek development. en_US
