    Why We Became Pushers

    The presentation will focus on several ways UNC Greensboro is using technologies to push e-resources to their users. The following will be discussed: Open URL linking, javascript applets, and web services. The web services portion of the presentation will include how we are pushing targeted content to users via Blackboard, having web pages just for targeted audience such as distance education, and pushing table of content information to faculty.

    Maximizing Relationships Between Your Knowledge Base and Your E-resources

    Although link resolvers are a wonderful, high-impact innovation, most libraries are not maximizing their potential benefits. In this session, the presenters will discuss how UNCG has tailored its locally developed link resolver and knowledge base, Journal Finder, to increase traffic to the Library’s eresources. And we will discuss how we utilize usage data to make collection management decisions on format and content.
