Jagatia, Bhavi
Uranus, and Neptune, the Ice Giants, can provide unique insights into the forma tion of the solar system, and answer pressing planetary science questions. A
combined mission to both ice giants would provide double the science return
than visiting an individual ice giant. This work aims to investigate feasible tra jectories for such a twin-spacecraft single-launch mission to the ice giants. The
analysis considers chemically propelled trajectories and solves the Powered
Multiple Gravity Assist global optimization problem. Recommendations are
made for feasible trajectories based on , mission duration, and science return.
