Humanizing Machines: Robotics at Georgia Tech
(Georgia Institute of Technology, 2012-09-27) Aguilar, Jeffrey ; Rogers, John ; Arkin, Ronald C.
While we may not live in the robot-mediated world envisioned by previous generations, robots have replaced humans in many situations where size is a limiting factor and where extremely repetitive or dangerous tasks must be performed. Join us and find out what researchers at Georgia Tech are learning about jumping robots; moral reasoning and emotions in robots and how this relates to the ethical behavior of robots in war; and collaborative exploration, mapping, and sensing by micro autonomous systems in terrestrial and aerial environments and how this can help first responders.
