So we're going to do today.

And you want to just follow
along is the first thing for

creating a website the way we're going
to make it is create a folder on our

desktop put out put some images
in that folder say both parties.

You know pages that folder
take the folder and

drop it into our Prism accounts
to make it a live web site.

Now there are other ways
that you can do this but

this is kind of a simple easy way.

So the first thing I want you to do is
just make a new folder create a new folder

on your desktop and you can just call it
Pogo that's going to make it grow and

produce a movie that has really so
use lowercase letters because

this is going to end up being part of the
U.R.L. and if you give someone your U.R.L.

It's always easiest if you use lowercase
inside that folder that you created.

I want you to create another folder and
call it images and that's

where we're going to place some images
that we're going to use for our site.

Now normally you don't
necessarily have to have

all of your images ready when you
start your site but in this case.

I'm just going to have us all kind of
take some images that we can then use for

the say creation.

So right here feel go to this website.

If you have a reason I think that
maybe you laugh a little bit.

This is my username browsing for
slots that Slash September.

Well as E.P.T. I'm not page.

It sounds like Pope pictures or

something like that there should
be about five or six pictures.

If you right click on each picture.

You should be able to say Save As and

just save it that images
folder that you just read it.

OK And I will go there as well.

But I sort of should look

you should be able just right click
save image as make sure you're in that

folder inside the PO folder
inside the images folder and

save each one going to go back for
a second case anyone missed your

OK so again once you're on this page just
save each picture to that images folder

that you created this

you have to create right.

So there are some some of the images
are there definitely going to be

laid at some of this map.

Not so much but
you'll see why I use this later

on the website again.

OK OK one more time for
those of you coming in.

What you need to do create
a folder on your desktop call it.

You know we need a folder inside
that folder called Images

and then we're going to
where you went to a website.

Just as our images you want to.

Perhaps your neighbor can
tell you what the words.

OK Next thing I want you to do if
everybody could just turn off the sound on

their computer and be down on the right
side because the next day we're going to

go to is a little bit of noxious and
has annoying things but

that was the reason we're going to this
other site is I want to get some kind of

small images and
this was the easiest thing to find.

One thing I'll mention about
the pictures on my site

that you might notice if you did before
you are all creative commons images.

Most of them from flicker.

So you want to think when you're creating
a website about using images that

are you there Creative Commons license or
public to me today.

You're not.

You know unless you're getting
permission from somebody you're

not violating copyright.

So if you go to flicker you can say I only
want things that are creative commons so

you'll notice it's all very
Creative Commons licensed

works you can also do this now in Google.

If you go to Google images do
an advanced search one of the options

is about licensing and
you have to say one of

the options should be something about
being able to reuse images the person

is OK with me you reusing So
depending if you're doing this for

a class you want to check
with your professor if he or

she requires you to use things that are
creative commons or are public domain or

if they're OK with you using copyrighted
images since just for class.

All right.

So anyway the reason I so I want you
to go to this other site this icon

bizarre dot com And the reason
we're choosing this is because it

has a yes no license that you
can use up to twenty images.

For personal use.

So we're going to do that.

So it's icon bazaar dot com And we're
just going to grab a few small images.

So if you go on your holidays and
then go under how the weekend.

We're going to stick
with our post theme here.

I have a couple images that look
similar to your home games or

a couple of the images from video and
maybe one or two others.

These are just things we're going to use
for a backgrounder things like that.

So just save again you should
be able to right click

save those images to the same place
that images folder that you created.

I mean like three or
four some pulling back

and again if you missed that it just went
to Icon bizarre to come that we went on

holidays and then inside that haue beene
and there were just picking a couple

images to say and again when you're making
your own site obviously whatever images

you want to know that's a question.

OK all right now we're finally set
to actually begin our website.

You don't need Ellis
weight loss diet blog.

This is why I kind of as art comes up
with some Weird weird weird things.

OK so if you want to check it
out basically now what we have

told her that I have the images folder
with all of the images that we've saved.

Now what we're going to do is
actually open Dreamweaver and

link our i'm Dreamweaver to that folder.

So if you go under all programs.

You should be able to find
a job in Dreamweaver.

Now here in this lab we have the S three

which is actually one version old at this
point the newest version is C S four.

If you get this question then just say OK

and if you use the multimedia studio
right when you walk in the door they do.

Have C.D.'s for the latest version from
what I understand I haven't used it

myself yet but it's pretty much the same
so everything we should be doing today.

You should be able you see as for
for same.

If you have Dreamweaver eight.

I have used that and
again pretty much everything.

The basic stuff that we're doing.

You're going to be able to do in eight
which is one version back from this.

If you want to get a trial
version you can get a free

trial version if you go to
Adobe Dreamweaver be a thirty day trial.

The only thing I don't know is how often
you can use a trial so if you use it.

This semester for a class.

I don't know if you'll be able to use it.

Next semester as well.

So we're going to do is once we're at
this page just to create new H.T.M.L..

OK And for any of you that have not
seen Dreamweaver before this is our

basic look you have
three areas are ruthless

going to use this as her far as our

layout is it was a week later so
what you see is yes for the most part.

So we're basically going to create
a here and have properties box and

that's going to change depending on
what we're working with when you're

working with text which right now it's
thinking we're going to work with text.

There are things you can
do with Cas A lot of it.

Well some of it is going to go
see a line in the folder and

then you pull the list or
a number of list things like that to

some of it's going to be similar
to word other things not so much.

If you don't see these for
any reason you've heard these farmers.

If you go on your window you
can turn those bars on and

off so I can say window and

there's the insert bar will take it away
and if you check it will bring it back.

So if you lose those at any
point you can usually go under.

We don't find those again.

Now we're mostly going to be
working in the design view but

there is if you know H.T.M.L..

Now you can use the code if you
can see what the code that's

being created as you're creating your site
as you can also work in the split level so

that as you type things down the bottom.

You can see it being created in H.T.M.L.
up top.

The only thing we're going to be using
H.T.M.L. for today is putting a video in

our website and it's both mostly
just going to be copy and paste.

So if you don't know if not a big deal.

So we're going to stick mostly
with the design view right.

First thing I want to do then is my site
again we're going to basically connect

our site to that folder that we've
created for view on your site and

the new site and go to the Advanced tab.

So that you have this first you
want to give your site a name.

It's anything you want to call it nobody's
really going to see that it's just for

you I'll just say my post site you
can call it whatever you want and

then what's really important here
is going to be our local Boulder

images from the local
group although we want

to connect that hopeful to create a hard
time if you click on a little folder.

You should be able to navigate to that
to your desktop into the post folder and

select that as your local group folder
then if you click on the one next

to default images click into that
images folder that you selected.

So you want to point to me

folder images the images folder
be created within that folder.

We're going to leave everything else
the same we're not going to worry about

putting your children like that again
the way we're going to do it today

is we're going to basically make our
site first save it and then take it and

drop it as there is no way you Dreamweaver
and kind of create your page live so as

you're making changes in Dreamweaver it's
automatically changing it in your site.

We're not going to do that today and
the reason that's important

is that means if you go put your site
Live and then go back to dream or

make a change you actually have
to drop that folder in again.

I'm so and I'll mention that again
in the end when it's important.

So basically that's all we're
going to do to set up our site

click OK when you're finished.

And what you should see is your site will
come up over here on the side whatever you

called it and then you'll be able to see
the list of your images on the side also.

So now we're kind of acted to our side.

OK So the next thing we can we're going to
do you know if we just start typing we're

just going to have black text on white
background which most websites do not do

so what we're going to do is set some
Page Properties for our site to do that.

There's a button down by property
with that says Page Properties

we can start by setting the appearance.

You can set a font for

your page you'll notice all the font
choices they give you multiple choices and

that's because not everybody here is going
to be able to read very well so by George

and somebody is font doesn't mean somebody
computer doesn't have GA It will display

your site in Times New Roman if they don't
have that it will try times and so on.

So you can just pick a font to use and you
can also create your own font list when

you want to you can also create a font you
can either pay a static size like a word.

You know you can say I want twelve
point one and then that is from what

I understand it's not going to if
somebody wants to zoom into your page and

things like that it's going to
stay totally fun no matter what.

Just like just using the relative fonts.

So if I say medium it's
going to make you know

my general text me you know medium
compared with the other things on my page

that we have somebody in largest the whole
page will enlarge my text with it.

So I usually pick a relative
font then we can set it back.

Caller.

We have a little swatch here and

we can say Now I warn you all of my colors
are pretty openly for the projector.

So don't judge me on my Oakley website but

I'm just going to do it a background
color and then you can pick a text color.

I want to make sure it's something
you can see on on your background

in terms of background image.

If you want to put a background
image if we go in our images folder.

You can if you want to I would
suggest using one of this.

And then just that we got
from the icon bazaar page.

So let's say I want to
use my skull image and

I say OK if I just leave it like this and
I click apply.

Obviously it's not going to work and

the battery goes like this if you would
not be able to read anything on my page.

However you do get options here you can
just say repeat no repeat and apply and

just kind of put your image once or
what I like to do if I have a small

image like this is you can just say
repeat X. so that it be across the top or

P Y M on the side so
I can make a nice little side border.

Again the bigger the image you know
the harder it's going to be to actually

tile it in any way.

Right.
So I know a little side border.

Marginalized you think about this
if I have the right to start.

I think I'm going to have my order

over a little bit make my left
margin a little bit bigger.

So I'm going to go ahead and
put my left margin as I do one inch and

usually I'll just play around with it and
see where it comes out.

I'm also going to put ten pixels
around each edge and that's just so

that my text is not bumping up
against the edge of the page and

way you know if you put it off for
one of the top margins or.

And depending on how big your images.

That's going to change.

All right.

I can move down category wise into links.

After that and

this will that we set things that only
the most you want your color which is that

blue color you see a lot of websites
you can change the link font.

If you don't want to the same page on

having hair we don't have too
many crazy fronts going on.

You can change the size and then you have
four options for link color the color you

want to be when you get that page when you
mouse over it you want to change color and

this can be another color and places as
you're clicking on it it can change color.

So if you want to give it some colors
again don't worry too much about

design right now we're just going
to see if you know we can get

some basic pages started so
you get the idea and

you also have the choice if you
want your you can have your

latest underline your only underlined when
you mouse over it and things like that.

So that's an option as well.

Next one category down is headings
I'm not going to change this but

it is something you can change if
you're if you're familiar a word with

using headaches Heading one is usually
set at the default kind of largest

heading kind of like but the title and
then heading to would be for

a smaller subheading it is really
kind of goes down from there.

But if you want to interview her.

You can set up your own file so
that everything you label as heading for

will be a certain size in
a certain color things like

that again I'm not going to do that today
but it is something that you can do.

I'm titling coding we want to give
our page a title and the reason

you want to do that is because when you
turn it down something like this you don't

want to say on title documents down your
if you ever Google on title document

there's a million out there that nobody
ever gave it a name which is a bad idea.

So go ahead and give your pages.

I don't people will see this.

So whatever you know I'm
going to say pro revealed.

That's my page but
you can do whatever you want or

insist post related and then I we're
not going to worry about trace image so

at this point we'll just say OK so
now and you'll notice it.

Now gives us the site also here's
the next thing we want to do is

actually put a title on our page I'm just
going to center it of course no websites

have a title but you want to just
protect your little property and

your right and
buy one from me their site one size so

that is why you're going there or
grant you can choose Heading one.

So I'm going to center first and
then choose

under format Heading one which
will give me the larger font and

then I can you know give it
a title to make a tribunal.

You may or may not get these guidelines.

It's only in turn on and
off off whether your guidelines but

you're not going to see those when the
page actually occurs that's just helping

you right next to you want to do is save
our page and since this is our home page.

You always want to save your home pages
indexed we're going to go file save as

we're saving it to that same post
folder that we created originally but

instead of Untitled just call it index and
the reason you call it index

is most browsers are set up to
recognize index as your home page.

So people don't actually
have to type index.

So if we save that what
you'll see is it will show up

over here on the side of your page.

You're right.

The head of OK so I centered it
right here right on said her and

then your hand is heading one
would be the largest size and

then you just type you know and
that will make the large size and

you don't have to use having
one eye just like you know

you don't have to just because I said my
properties are there in my case white is

typical color you could at any point
change the color of a particular word.

Let's say I want revealed
to be a different color.

There's always a color
often down the bottom.

If you don't change it.

It's going to be your default but I can at
any point say I want a certain word you

know you can override the default
groups and I override it with

the real Did you did you bring it up.

OK All right.

So next thing we're going to do is we need
to make some other pages that we can link

you don't just the web page you want
to make a website with multiple pages.

So what I want you to do is create two
more pages and you create a new page.

Well just to file a new We're just
going to use a blanket H.T.M.L.

page and now we're going to create
three different pages again just kind

of create a set of thing you'll notice is
most websites are going to have some kind

of consistency and since we're only doing
three pages if you wanted them to look all

the same it's pretty easy to set the
properties they will look all the same.

However when your website starts to grow
and you have fifty pages here not going to

want to every time set the page
properties and things like that.

You know in order to
create a site that way.

One way you can do it is use templates and

if we have time at the end I will show you
how to create a template but for now just.

We're just going to create three
different pages and link them together.

So once you've created the page.

We want to save it so
that we make sure we're saving

you always want to use lowercase
letters and I'm going to my two pages.

I'm going to create for that the raven
that's kind of related and the black hat.

So if I let's say this is the Riemann
page I'll just do Raven dot H.T.M.L..

So you don't want to use any spaces and

no capital letters you can name
it yours whatever you want and

then I'll do the same thing
create one more new page and

I will save this one since

Black Cats two words I can either use
the underscore just make it all one word.

So I'll just you like save it and

then I want to just take a couple minutes
and give each page some page properties.

So if you want to switch back and
forth between pages.

You can either help or if you're going
to see every half hour or so just

set up some page properties for each page
give each page a title things like that.

Take a couple minutes to do that
if you have questions there.

OK when you're finished giving it some
probably think and don't read too much

about you know but you know make sure
you have at least a background color and

a title on each page but
you'll notice that for

creating pages every time you hear
something you have to say this is you know

you'll see a little star shows
up next to the name up top.

And that's just to remind
you that you need to save.

So at any point you can just save all and
drew or

is really good about
reminding you annoy you.

Time save things.

So you get kind of tired of it
telling you that after a while.

So when you're finished.

We'll go back to our this will be
our home page and now at this point.

Obviously we might want to
connect to our other pages.

So we're going to do it since we're not
going to get into things like C.S.S.

style stuff like that to
make a very simple menu

for our links to our things.

I'm just going to create
a simple menu of process here and

I'm like wordy we can't just put a word N.
tab over it wouldn't

work so I can just if you try using the
tab button it doesn't take you anywhere.

So instead what we're going to
do is put in table just a one

row table and I think you have made table.

We're going to go under this
with that little icon that

looks kind of like a table
in the common bar here and

I want you to create one that's
one row and four columns wide

because we're in a how four different
lengths we're going to put in there.

I usually make my tables one hundred
percent just saying I wanted to go across

the whole page.

Now of course you can remember that you
could if you want if you just made is evil

in size and then you have it you know
one column and so many rows that kind

of thing border think this is depending on
where you want somebody actually people.

If you don't care that they
see the lines of the table.

We can just say zero and they'll be no one
will actually tell that it's a table and

that's all padding and spacing is you
know room in between cells and room

between outside and your stuff but we're
not going to mess with that right now.

We'll just say OK.

It will create my little
outline of my table.

I'm going to move a book one.

OK so now what I want you to do is go
ahead inside then you need a home page

home or whatever you call your
second few pages that there.

The last one were just call copyright.

And that's just I'm going to show you
how to link to somewhere farther down on

your page.

If you want to you can use
the little center to center it and

then we are just going to type the names
of the pages that we're creating So

I have to read even and if it you'll see
it kind of when you tab over it kind

of looks like it's going to be all
messed up in terms of spacing but

it will it will even
itself out as you created

and last one called copyright to correct

when you're done you should have
your four right now the first three.

Now of course since
we're on the home page.

It seems a little silly to make a link
to the home page from the home page.

But let's just imagine that we're
if we do this often you want your

you know menu to look the same.

So we're ready to actually make a link
when you're linking to an internal

page of another page on your site
are going to here in this box.

You're basically typing
the name of the file.

So if I want to link to the home page.

It just highlight the word home and then
down here in the Properties box under me.

I just put in that study
came out you need a title.

You can use the folder navigate
through it with your way.

A little pointer and
drag it to what you want it to fill in for

you it will do it for you.

So that's kind of a lazy way
if you want but it's also

easy as you know Mr Carville might start
all over me or is there a bit of what

I

would.

OK so for the other she do that we're

creating links you're going to do the same
thing I can highlight the Raven and

I can just point to the page that's Raven
H.T.M.L. or whatever you called your page.

If I highlight the Black Cat I
can just point to black cat

and those will create the leaks and

they're putting a lot of the colors you
should still like if you want to see at

any point if what you're doing is working
as somebody would actually see it.

We can click on the little world.

That's up here and preview.

In either Firefox or explorer.

It always asks if you
want to save changes and

then what you can do try actually
clicking on your links and

see hopefully they should take
you to your other two pages.

What you'll notice right
now I'll start back.

I go back to my home page if I
click on any of my lessons are in

my page basically what it's
doing is replacing my home page.

That page.

So I have to keep using the back button.

If you don't like that if you'd
rather it open in a different window

when you're creating the link.

So let's say the Black Cat let's say I
want this to open in a different window.

So if I actually have it and
I did and then write underwear.

As plain there's a target option and
if we change the target to blank.

Then when you test it again preview
is just testing it you'll see what it

does things for fire and opening and
you have so if you have back and forth.

So it's up to you whether you prefer you
know if you don't mind the back button.

Usually I don't worry about the opening
of line if you love somebody extreme Only

because then you know you don't want your
to get too far away from your page but

that's just using that target
function that's under the link.

OK so now I've done internal
links fairly easy and

I think about is how you think or
at least.

So if you want to create a page and have
some links that jump you down a certain

place on your page used to be
a lot of your back and years

ago a lot of pages were really long with a
lot of links that would jump you down now.

More often people are creating
multiple pages rather than

really long pages however you still
sometimes have a reason you know let's say

you have an introduction and
a copyright is an example.

So let's say we want to actually put
in a copyright symbol and jump to it.

Not that it would but alright.

No mention here of
the outside of your table and

then we're just going to hit
enter a whole bunch of times

today you're down far in your
page can't see the top anymore.

Change it's a left line you might operate
show up in the middle of the page or

you can put it wherever you want I can
even write a line it over here and

then put it in a little copyright.

And all we go under next and

then the very last thing in
the text row is a little break.

Ted line break.

If you click next to that you should
be able to see the copyright symbol and

choose that gets under text and
the very end.

I will put a little copyright symbol and
I'm just going to put my name and

tops if I can type and the date.

So it's two thousand and
nine because it's my page.

All right so just as an aside if at

any point you want to be your new
ones here would be my name and

e-mail only it's really easy to do with
one highlight made me go back and comment.

So I'm going to highlight my
name back in your comment.

The second thing and it looks like
a little letter is the e-mail link and

then it just asked for text and then once
your e-mail address and basically this is

just telling it to open and whatever
the default e-mail client is for somebody.

Again.

Already you mentally.

Say OK and

that should make your name only if
you want to know what the actual link

is you can also if I click on it it will
show me down here the only way to actually

do it if you want to do it manually which
in this case would just be to type.

I think it's mailed to colon and
then your name.

If you want to do that.

All right but now we're going to like I
said put in what's called an anchor tag so

that we jump down to a certain
part of the page and or

if you put your cursor right for
the left hand side of

the your example where you're from
a site where you have an anchor.

So the top it will ask you for
a name for your anchor.

I'm just going to call it
copyright because that's easy.

And what that does is it creates a little
anchor that nobody will see when you look

at your page but it allows you to point to
it as somewhere to jump on your page so

now if I go back up to the top
highlight my copyright.

Then I can basically to link to that
your tag is always going to be found and

whatever the name of the hound
find the name of the say so

in this case it would be copyright but
OK OK I want it.

I need that little pointer.

Now that I've highlighted copyright can
use the pointer and just drag it over

the little anchor tag and it will tell
me what it should be so in this case.

It tells me.

You're right here.

And again if we want to see if it works.

She'll be able to preview it and
when you click on it.

Hopefully if you want to part
after on your page and go too far.

It should jump.

You should you can see that John you know
if we went farther would be able to see

the topping but that's you know you so you
could have multiple of these on your page

it would jump to different sections of
your page when somebody clicked on it.

So it's over or done internally and
then anchor text.

I think the last link you're probably
going to want to use is an extra no link.

So let's just say again this isn't
going to make it pretty website.

But let's just say I want to you know.

Here are some of my favorite sites

and then if I wanted to put let's
say a voice a list of mice and

a little yellow box.

You don't want it's entered.

If you will again that's what I'm saying

it's it's a view it's something under
you know under you have to get rich.

When it is but
it's basically just a guideline and

see their visual be it's not
going to run out of doors or

marginal from top to bottom.

Yet that's still just a view
you mean this around the house.

Yeah yeah that's just a guideline
one of the guidelines is turned on

under View think it's under guy.

It's one of the guys the no
show about it and take it away

or it may be a snap to guides.

I don't know it's one of the guidelines.

I was forget which one but

again it doesn't necessarily
like Richie to have it there.

OK so
now if I want to take it to have a list

and let's say OK so
let's save on Wikipedia which of

course if you're doing this for class you
would not be probably linking to a P.D.F.

but since it's a nice easy one to do what
I usually do is rather than having to

remember what the U.R.L.
is I'll just have a browser open.

Now if I Google Edgar Allan Poe
of course with a P.

I will be one of the first entries and
then I'm going to do is copy the U.R.L.

So then if I want to make the whole
on wikipedia link to the Wikipedia.

Age on Poe all I do is in the link box
rather than putting the name of a file.

I just put in the whole U.R.L.
of the link I want to go to so

I'm just pasting that link.

So you can you know if you know if it's
a fairly easy link you can just type in

only the reason but one thing you
want to remember when you're using

extra links is you have
to use the H.T.T.P.

colon slash slash It's not like
a browser where it will no fill that or

you have to type in the full
thing with the W.W.W. and and

so forth and
again if I want to open in a blank page.

I can say target blank.

It's just there.

There we go.

And then you know again
we could add other ones.

If we wanted to but so
that's extra no links so

in generally we've got Ted Rowlands
just simple I was putting in

the U.R.L. for the extra no link there.

What I'm going to do now
is jump to images so

that we have some time to type of images.

So I want you to make an image
aligned just like a any words or

whatever but to insert an image is fairly
easy you just go under this looks like

in a frame and say image and
then you can choose an image.

So I'm just going to say it a poem
headstone image and it's going to ask for

alternate text and that is for
some of this ability.

Using your site.

They're not able to see your image you
want a screen reader to be able to tell

them what it's an image of so it's always
a good idea to put in some alternate text

just kind of basic information about what
is so I can say you know photo over.

Pose headstone.

And then you know if they give you a room
that if you wanted to you could have

a long description and stuff like that.

And so
it's always a good idea to do that so

that it's creating our image and when
you have you put it on you can tell by

the little boxes that are on the side
of it you'll see that our bottom.

Properties box will change to different
things we can do to the image you can

change the way and height of here if you
can also drop it and stuff like that but

I strongly suggest you use a photo
editor Photoshop or some other photo

editor to make your picture the size you
want and the look you want to read to try

to mess with it too much in Dreamweaver
really not made for image editing.

I'm just give that my.

But if we want you mean this only we
basically just put this thing on the link

information and so if we put a file name
in it would be an internal link if we book

pounded in the name of something it would
be only just a milestone or cage and

if we put it you know an extra link it
would just link out to next journal page.

So that's had a link
if you're using image.

Now other things we can put a border
around our image if we want you to just

have a border think we can just say one.

It's going to put a very small border and

you can you know kind of play with
it if you wanted some kind of

border around you know how large
the border is and things like that.

Also things.

Let's say we want to put like a text of
all right now I have this centered but

if I change it so that say it's left to
mine and this is a fairly large image for

let's have some text over here and
explain something about my image.

You'll notice.

If I click on the image and I click next
to the image I get a very long cursor

and then if I start typing.

You know this is a picture of pose and

what it's going to do is it automatically
starts kind of down at the bottom and

is going to wrap underneath very awkward
if we want to change the alignment.

What we can do is click
on the image on and

then you have to have to change feel
like you can really hear your own why

instead of the default if we say let's say
a line left we want to align the image

the left of the text it said
putting our rights over

on the side and don't worry the image got
great out but then I could also change it.

Let's say I want to add to the right.

And it will change you know now I am and
to the right of my text.

Sometimes you know with the middle when
you do middle it's still kind of has

a funky So you think that right.

And my kind of makes it a better
way to if you want to with

your text to show up at the same again
without using something like C.S.S.

or use right or

If you're having trouble if you're doing
a lot of picture tax kind of things and

you're having trouble getting
the alignment just to set up right.

You might consider using a table.

It's again a little old school rather
than you know they will use testing

style sheets rather than tables but
you can put in an invisible table and

you know on the uncertain columns you
put your images in certain colors you.

OK and just keep that in mind if you're
having trouble getting things to

align correctly that sometimes using
a table is a good way to do that.

A bit annoying and
if you want more space around your

image kind of just not a word or
a good way to be if you have this page

horizontal space and it's in pixels.

have them be separate links so

if I put in the image of the map which
is really too big for this page but

it was one of the only things I could
quickly find if I put in my map image.

So here I know it's kind of off my

all been probably Web sites where you
click on you know if I go higher.

I would take me to something Ohio and
if I click on you know.

Illinois will take me to
something on Illinois.

So you can do that pretty easily with
a huge green and what we're going to be

using you know these things that are down
the bottom you see the right angle for

gold polygon to basically trace
out whatever you want to be

plain and you can use multiple ones
of them if you want and then you.

So if I am going to try the polygon
I'm not very talented at this but

I think that when you first click on it.

It's going to tell you need to.

Use the alternative field or
whatever and that's again just for

I can use lots of clicks and

then take and put my own video on my page.

I like Google video because it allows and

Might do this to you but I know Google
video allows you to have kind of a private

so that your video of
yourself is not public.

So I didn't particularly want
the whole world seeing me rehearsing.

But anyway it's fairly easy to get this
invent co-created once it's created

you can just stick it on your site and
your videos life.

I mean the only thing I can imagine is
sound and if you want to include sound.

It's really easy if you want to
include a sound file if we just have

a sound file over here you go
into a file using a word or

image then we put on it it would
go into the sound file and

basically just open that in a new window.

something more complicated.

where you can play stop rewind for

that I'm going to suggest that you go to
a multimedia studio because it's a little

bit trickier in terms of getting
it set up every time I've done it

with yeah it works on the same my computer
but when I go try out another computer

if that computer doesn't have that
awful it's not going to work.

So the people in multimedia studio can
help you try to get your sound set up.

I can't caution you against
having any sound that just plays

automatically especially when you work for

your future might not appreciate
it if it plays automatically.

go and set up your template again with

a background and you get a background
image that you want to show up on your

pages if there's a certain look you know
and then you have to insert little regions

where you say OK here you can put
a photo you or you can be different.

Your body and that can be different on
every page and things like that but

anything you don't say is editable is
going to be the same on every page.

So it makes sense.

If you go on this one might
look a little different.

So like a file folder.

You can you want to put your cursor
where you want to insert it and

then you insert editable region and

you give it a name and
that'll just mean you can name it.

Anything you want but sometimes it's good
to you know I want this to be an image so

to remind yourself OK that's where I can.

It doesn't matter how big it
is it will still Levy and

serve something bigger than that size.

So I could then when I
go to my actual pages.

So after fresh troops killed and
received my template.

It will ask me Do I want to update all

So it's updated it and now what

like use of your template it will change

all the pages made off that template

I can actually put in image in their head.

So again it doesn't matter that

optional regions and other regions but

pages that you want to have lots of
pages that look exactly the same as you

can see once you get it looking like
you want to save it and play and

make regions that you can
