So what I should have done which was go ahead invite Tom American public to the front and the tail if it's OK I'd like to hold off questions and let Eric and Tom respond and then we will open up more for discussion among all of those after that. So answer. So if you want. You're ready. But as I said here you want to be more your hero well sort of Hello again Tom can follow you. I'm not quite sure how you do these response things like if I go to LA. Knotts Jerry Springer So I think one of the things it does in listening to your comments of the day. Interesting thing is if you look at print from ticks dampens appropriately from a state or an area like us we were very excited with the whole idea of opportunity or discretionary fun. I think from a state sampling we've been really disappointed in how the funding and whether it's the project technically based in and we didn't fare well or we're just a red state and the state world. I think a lot of us had a lot of trepidation a lot of disappointment. In what happened. One of many that we work with that we rolled up in with applications and didn't see any funding what we saw as good projects in the national list even something may have been funded and they go out the best for better than so I think from a standpoint. First off I think it's great. I think we love them more feedback on the program how they work and better. This thing of what the criteria is that they want. That's for the better application but in I think we have a great product and great infrastructure in the region that needs to be invested in. And what kind of at a point we're not really sure what are the bells and whistles you're looking for. That make our activation better than I think another part of the flexibility that we needed if you'll make a reasoned context is that all these little funding plots whether the discretionary that you talk about our formula days are for a different paradigm. We have a funding mechanism that's be there based on a metropolitan region or a state down or for a certain type of program that you can't miss a high speed rail program with a Transit Program or God knows we could given the definition of what inner city rail is versus commuter rail and all these little pots reduce that flexibility for the average. Because OK I'd like to work with make a new bit of violence in the one or two but we've got a little bit of money here to commuter rail and I got the money here that's Maclin. Can't make them work. So as we move forward in the area authorization process I think the standpoint of looking at the definitions of funding. After ten F. be more flexible have to be more allowable for the heart of you have a presentation or you have a little sparks of innovation there and I think based on the funding source in reauthorization fans like this. I mean you know if and I was there right. They would they ever after. But guys write a lot of money in that someone figure but that being said the way the programs are structured need to allow for that innovation. We're really strain financially but we're also constrained creative in the ability of using fun. We have to shoehorn an idea. It's great that you have the ability to when do we feel we have this little pot and then you try to balance against time. Good on a lark or is. So again I think the big thing that I would propose and I think it really give the truthful aberration and the truth partnership is having that flexibility process. We have a first population very differently. We have no interest in Georgia. We have hundreds well. And yet the programs are very much focused and organized but yeah a lot of the a lot of work a lot of the skilled labor that the reason I'm from the ruler and so we're the funding challenge our access to the jobs market is really not about not about the birth rate. I think we place a lot of money on how where you are what your caller program instead of our base line. You know what are you trying to get some of the really out of the one let's get a very elaborate story. You don't love their even smaller staff like five hundred years. In their Washington office they are very program now about the size of the F.D.A. for approaching a billion dollars every year by merely saying that maybe there's places when you look at a lot. That employees the safety or there's a great place for all that elaborate program or several elaborate Eurex that finally you're here to talk with every one is nipping at our little one a couple of years ago in a form that I guess at the end of the day. Really appreciate your leadership we're going to talk about very very helpful. I think you gradually began to question. Help us as we push for reauthorization or some mechanism to look at form and get rid of all paradigms that will better get on the front row here realize that you are here but that that is let me make you really very very one I want to start with the issue because I think in some ways that from my perspective or you really are. And point these sessions we have been in our community where we are all primed for the bar green car we haven't been yet but I think that they can and at certain point on their significant board I think many ways where for the creation of healthier enemy sound our future plans. A little bit about what has happened in the region because because it's the interaction. Let's talk about this interaction and I think we all understand that but we don't always see it. Played out but ten years ago when the region was in the form of the price and the process of what they call centers in our area. I'm not sure that we realize because I have a feeling that we were so desperate for my mission from God but it so happened we did have a pretty good idea that was great a small scale community voluntary but just community around think about how they come more the land use planning all those how do you become more efficient with mine. But they could have some change change change transportation coming not transit ready to move in the direction of transit the hope was in our program relatively modest small communities a lot of money ransom for those communities a process that was actually making progress for five hundred million dollars. Actually that stuff. Relatively modest that's pretty project. All of the rest of rebuilding parking lots. MARTA station. Very quickly. There was a lot of lot of money up to date we have over a year so far over forty million dollars So one reason I mention this is because it's really having the facts on the ground right now. You know three percent of their about nine percent of that sixty percent So we concentrated right there at the arcade unit. What is more important is that well over eighty percent change. There's only well right with the underline policy and regulatory stance to serve out. Well and I think even problems like regulatory structure. Change will happen. Mention that because we did this process and then along came what here right now in the fight at the here about liberty to try to develop a long range vision for transit and that concept three was a concept and it actually from that actually goes outside our borders but has that concept. One of the little I'm patient zero was a map of the also the words that cycle by looking where are these places that are trying to change from why don't we start our where we sort of circle that patients are going to progress and out of the. I then get the Russian air. Light up. That's a real problem in our programming problem forty year old quickly but we are now getting the cycle back or we just play. We are but we've got new right. And one of the surgeries out to reshape L.C.R. program. We haven't really up for another five years of hard here. Looks like direction. The sales. OK However three. Let's throw this. Now that we have a concept or a why don't we reshape the O.C.I. program concentrate on those ads that are really I think seen how this works. I think that's consistent with certainly what Francis needs but also very kind of you're going to break it up by the way that we're forced to support it and tell you that this. And that both decided we're going to bet. Good anywhere you want to have the same amount of money going to use the structure to gather and writing that the shape of the book but I want to say another thing or by collaboration. It has taken us five years in this region. Yet the wires to come through during that time a little thing about ordination. But part of the benefit is all over. I'll get standing while I work for and over there. One of the drivers on break. We're only one man dollars an hour or so I won't tell you that finances do that. I think Principal we're all in Reno. I think some of them knew it from our suburban or some railroad like some kind of Mansion recognizing preservation or just that's something that I don't think that that was taken on and you know I think about how long it's been since we were going to live my love life but but you've got to feel that way and I think that's right here some success I think a lot of time because it's a three Now it's up to the top part that regional market like right. Had a record as part of the seven made our fund ructions where you had your four years ago it was nothing like one more comment of life and I remember the record setter stimulus and your value way home I thought surprising our By the way that ruction players look cared. Jack for the results in their out hours during the game almost dropped from what all of us were getting a direction by them all ready for them while we are certainly read. See here they go they wish very well every year for.
