dc.description.abstract | This paper deals with the sonification of log data gathered during a field test of an innovative toilet system. These tests have been carried out in a day care center for multiple sclerosis patients in winter 2004/05 in the framework of the EU funded Friendly Rest Room project (FRR). For ethical reasons, no direct observational data are at hand to validate the design concept. We will show a way to solve this dilemma by sonification of the log data. This sonification must be designed in a way that enables the researcher to reconstruct the user's actions s/he could not directly observe. | en_US |
