Abstract
Price changes can significantly affect water consumption. A survey was over a six month period of twelve small cities in the Atlanta metropolitan area for a hypothetical situation whether residents would be willing to pay a 20 percent price increase in drought conditions to keep their lawn green or to wash their cars. Results suggest that residents in the north Atlanta metropolitan area were more willing to pay this price increase as opposed to residents in the south Atlanta metropolitan area.
