This paper analyzes two contrasting government-industry partnerships in deploying large-scale energy innovations, focusing on two research questions. What are the incentives, opportunities and barriers for initiating and sustaining government-industry partnerships to deploy large-scale energy innovation? What roles do government and industry play in developing cross-sector capacity to deploy large-scale energy innovation?
