dc.description After graduating from Georgia Tech’s COA with a BS ARCH, Julie Hiromoto completed an MARCH at Columbia University’s GSAPP. She is an Associate at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and works as a Project Manager for New York and International projects, including One World Trade Center. Prior to joining the Management group, she was a Senior Technical Architect, focusing on exterior wall and sustainable design. Her previous experience, designing and implementing these systems, affords an understanding of the complexity involved in large scale projects. Julie leads SOMNY’s High Performance Design initiative and the SOM Sustainable Knowledge Network. She also teaches at New York University’s Shack Institute of Real Estate. An active member of the NYC green building community, Julie was invited to sit on the Urban Green Council’s Programs Committee. She is a licensed architect and LEED accredited professional.
