dc.description.abstract | In this research, an architecture-based methodology has been developed to understand and interpret the ascending performance trajectory of industrial gas turbines from a growth perspective. Historical data depicting the product evolvement are examined to reveal trends and features that can be tied to the published design philosophy and practices in this industry. Quantifiable growth metrics are introduced and deployed in an established framework that offers a scientific product development environment to emulate the prevalent product development practices. Furthermore, the capability established by this methodology is expected to support performance prediction and planning for future gas turbine products. | |
