| dc.description.abstract | This presents the Current Status of VentureLab. We also discuss briefly the historical changes in the relationship of ATDC and VentureLab as part of GT's Commercialization Services within the Enterprise Innovation Institute (EII). The revised mission and goals of VentureLab are presented and discussed. A key focus is on the mission of VentureLab to provide commercialization services to key GT stakeholders. Interested individuals include GT faculty, staff and students. The key messages include 1) the efforts of VentureLab staff have been refocused to better serve the needs of Georgia Tech faculty, students and staff who seek to commercialize their research discoveries, 2) VentureLab operates in parallel with the research process - i.e. from the early stages of research well before an invention disclosure is generated. This reflects the iterative nature of the commercialization process and parallels the iterative nature of the research and discovery processes, and 3) Stakeholders and their interests are the starting point for commercialization not invention disclosures. | en_US |
