Abstract
Light detection and ranging is a remote sensing technology that has applications in agriculture, archaeology, and automotive systems. Frequency-modulated continuous wave (FMCW) lidars claim reduced susceptibility to mutual interference, which becomes increasingly important in crowded environments. This work aims to determine the necessary conditions and scenarios for mutual interference to occur in FMCW lidars. A MATLAB-based simulator is developed to investigate and quantify system performance under various interference conditions.
