Abstract
VuFind is a front-end discovery tool enabling users to search metadata from the Georgia Tech Library's catalog and from the Georgia Tech Library's digital repository (http://smartech.gatech.edu) simultaneously. The Georgia Tech Library's instance of VuFind includes: fetching book covers and reviews from Amazon, displaying Google Books previews, suggesting similar items, retrieving results in the local union catalog and in WorldCat at the click of a button, pre-entering bibliographic data into document delivery and interlibrary forms, offering APA and MLA citations, exporting citations to EndNote, texting and emailing results, allowing users to mark favorites and tag records for later retrieval...all while still getting instant circulation statuses, the ability to recall, etc. The URL for Georgia Tech's instance of VuFind is http://finder.library.gatech.edu.
