Abstract
In this paper, we consider monotone travelling waves for the generic competition-diffusion system which satisfies the following property: The system has a finite number of equilibrium points in the first quadrant, and each equilibrium point is non-degenerate. We shall deform the system to the Lotka-Volterra competition-diffusion system where the existence of monotone travelling waves is well known, and establish a theorem on the wave train of monotone travelling waves by employing the bifurcation theory for heteroclinic orbits.
