dc.description.abstract The challenge to libraries: how do libraries and librarians change themselves and the work culture? Recognize that information is everywhere; hence opportunities for libraries are everywhere. Develop incentives to grow and share knowledge, be leaders, take risks, and be opportunists. A new blend of information and learning professionals will be required to run a library. Knowledge management is a cross disciplinary practice which enables organizations to improve the way they create, adopt, validate, diffuse, store and use knowledge in order to attain their goals faster and more effectively.
