Abstract
The purpose of this study is to perform a radiation hazard/shield analysis for the new cryomodule repair and maintenance facility (CRMF) that will be built at SLAC national Accelerator Laboratory. This will include investigation of radiation hazards and the development of efficient shielding strategies to ensure the safety of personnel working at the CMRF and the environment. The analysis was performed by computational simulation, Monte Carlo radiation transport code FLUKA, and included analysis of prompt dose, residual dose, air, and water activation for normal and accident scenarios. The result of this study will be used to implement radiation protection guidelines and regulations at the CRMF facility by recommending a shielding configuration, ultimately contributing to advancements in high-energy physics research and accelerator technologies.
