Abstract
This report is intended to examine the history of change in Atlanta's Bedford Pine neighborhood and assess the implications of such forces on the physical and social nature of the area. To this end, the report utilizes an understanding of these changes to identify explanatory propositions in light of urban design theory, and allows for a better understanding of the implications of the current organization on future growth and change in the area. The report is also intended to develop strategies for addressing this future growth in a manner sympathetic to the identified urban design theory.
