Abstract
SLC is a commonly used algorithm to suppress interference for subarray phased array architectures. SLC suppresses interference by using an estimate of the interference covariance statistics across array sensors. Interference can result from stationary or non-stationary time sources. Adaptively estimating the statistics of non-stationary time sources, such as co-located radars, can be challenging, which leads to degraded performance. Proposed solutions improve the robustness of interference covariance estimation within the constraints of subarray architectures for SLC implementation. Proposed solutions incorporate sensor correlation (C-SLC) and machine learning (M-SLC).
