Abstract
This paper analyzes how researchers in the Social Sciences and the Humanities engage in knowledge exchange with potential beneficiaries of their research, and the way in which the institutional context affects these activities. We study a specific context (the Spanish Council for Scientific Research) and find that many links are conducted informally.
