Abstract
Privacy is a multi-faceted challenge for organizations – to be successful, they must take a holistic approach to protecting the personal data and information of all stakeholders. Privacy professionals must collaborate across various enterprise functions, while exercising risk-based judgement. This talk will explore critical elements of a successful privacy program, and how to operationalize them. Every organization should comply with privacy laws and regulations; design with privacy in mind; minimize the collection of personal data; provide meaningful notice and choice, and appropriately safeguard information. Doing so enables them to identify and manage privacy risk while building innovative products and services. Intentionally integrating privacy into organizational solutions can make privacy a competitive differentiator.
