Abstract
Blockchain is a powerful technology that has enabled decentralized payments on par with many historical currencies. However, current blockchain systems cannot fulfill transactions without a reliable connection to blockchain nodes because blockchain transactions require a synchronous connection to the blockchain network. In this work, we present a solution to this problem focusing on lossless funds, which are recovered even if a device is lost. Our system supports high-performance and efficient offline transactions with fault-tolerant blockchain wallets. We evaluate our work by implementing JusTEE on Arm TrustZone to gauge the performance of JusTEE on phones and Internet of Things (IoT) devices.
