Abstract
There is increasing evidence that our climate is changing and that mankind is responsible for some of the changes. In this talk I will briefly review this evidence and then discuss the activities we started at the Department of Energy to try to ameliorate these effects. Much progress has been made in the automobile business and in the adoption of wind and solar but there is much left to be done. At the same time scientists have many ideas on how to make progress and some of these will be reviewed.
