Abstract
This paper presents a comprehensive technical blueprint for the Physical Internet (PI), consolidating years of research across multiple projects (Michiels et al., 2024; Schrevens et al., 2023). By leveraging data space architecture (Nagel et al., 2021), and integrating PI concepts we introduce a full-stack foundation that addresses key challenges in trust, security, logistics service discoverability, and operational collaboration in decentralized logistics networks. This blueprint provides a technical framework for realizing a truly decentralized, interoperable, and automated logistics ecosystem, reducing inefficiencies and enabling seamless coordination across transport networks.
