dc.description.abstract An x-ray computed tomography system for industrial-like acquisitions is designed with microfocus x-ray source. System implements sparse-data reconstruction to demonstrate capability of low-dose imaging via retrospective downsampling of acquired datasets. Reconstructed images are noise-suppresed via total variation (TV) minimization and Tikhonov regularization, using iterative solution techniques. Image quality metrics are discussed.
