Abstract
This paper describes the development of an education plan for instructing the populace of Georgia
concerning the sources and effects of nonpoint pollutants
upon urban streams of the state. Completed in early 1994,
the project contained three major components: a series of
public service announcements for distribution to radio and
television stations across the state, a short videotape for use
in presentations before a variety of groups; and a document
providing a strategy and process for informing the population
of Georgia about the sources and effects of nonpoint
pollutants and soliciting citizen responses to help address the
problem.
