Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to summarize a
watershed protection demonstration project that has been
undertaken for the Broad River watershed. This project will
demonstrate the applicability of an innovative watershed
planning approach which uses geographic information
systems (GIS) technology and appropriate analysis models to
highlight potential land use conflicts between development
and water-based natural resources.
