Abstract
There is an overstock of financially distressed properties in the nation- Red Fields. There are too few parks and green spaces- Green Fields. Why not form a public/private partnership, a land bank, to get dilapidated buildings off of the banks' rolls so they can lend again. The properties purchased can be converted to parks or green space and surrounding property values will rise. Red Fields to Green Fields would improve the health of people and communities.
