Abstract
As companies attract and develop talent across the globe, continuing engineering
education providers will follow suit – creating and delivering programs that both
address the implications of a global strategy and are delivered worldwide. Stanford
University’s School of Engineering has, through its extended education unit, the
Stanford Center for Professional Development (SCPD), created and launched a
number of global programs over the last decade. In the process, the SCPD has
learned valuable lessons on how to develop, nurture, and sustain graduate,
professional, and executive programs with a worldwide reach.
