Abstract
Rod-like aromatic heterocyclic polymers having repeating units of the formula --(--Q--Ar--)m --(--Q--Ph--)n)-- where Q is ##STR1## X is --O--, --S--, or --NH--; m is 0.05 to 1.0; n is 1.0-m; Ph is 1,4-phenylene; Ar is ##STR2## R1 and R2 are the same and are either H or CH3 ; and R3 and R4 are CH3.
