Abstract
Within the context of promoting improved health and wellness, it is necessary to consider how new urbanist communities act to support or impede sustainable, multigenerational communities for the future. The advantages and disadvantages of current models in the Seniors Housing Industry will also be thoroughly examined. This lecture present student work examining the growing movement to equip the independent living environment with design features and technologies which better allow aging-in-place and reduced cost of healthcare delivery.
