Abstract
With the advent of generative AI tools, people in many fields have experienced changes in their careers, including how they communicate with peers. Game development is unique in the variety of different roles (visual art, programming, composing, etc) that work with each other on the same teams. Our qualitative research investigated what tools were actually helpful for game developers, what tools got in the way, and how communication has changed between developers since these tools have become popularized.
