Abstract
Innovation communities are characterized and formalized as complex adaptive communication systems that exhibit the traits of self-organized creative artificial ecosystems. An agent-based exploratory simulation study is conducted to better understand community traits that confer increased diversity and resilience in such networked global participatory innovation systems.
