    Neuro-Symbolic World Models for Adapting to Open World Novelty

    IRIM hosts each semester a symposium to feature presentations from faculty and presentations of research that has been funded by our IRIM seed grant program in the last year. The symposium is a chance for faculty to meet new PhD students on campus, as well as a chance to get a better idea of what IRIM colleagues are up to these days. The goal of the symposium is to spark new ideas, new collaborations, and even new friends!

    The GVU Center and the Institute for People and Technology (IPaT), with additional support from GTRI support two separate types of grant proposals. Research Grants provide seed funding for new research collaborations, and Engagement Grants provide support for new forms of internal and external community engagement and collaboration.     The Science and Art of Storytelling

    The Innovation Corps (I-Corps) teaches National Science Foundation (NSF) grantees to identify valuable product opportunities that can emerge from academic research and offers entrepreneurship training to student participants. I-Corps is a public-private partnership that prepares you to extend your focus beyond the laboratory by broadening the impact of select, NSF-funded basic-research projects. The primary goal of I-Corps is to foster entrepreneurship that will lead to the commercialization of technology that has been supported by NSF-funded research. Participating in the I-Corps program will help you: Create your startup company; Create your business model description for review by third-party investors; and Gain faster access to technology licenses.
