Measure more precise than nature allows us to!
(Georgia Institute of Technology, 2021) Xin, Lin ; Kennedy, Brian ; Chapman, Michael S.
Precise measurements help advance the development of science and technology. However, the current technology almost achieve the fundamental precision limit - the standard quantum limit. In our research, we are able to further improve the ability to measure more precise than this limit using a technique called squeezing. In our lab, we use ultracold Rb atom to achieve that purpose and our research will help with applications such as brain functional neuron imaging and gravitational wave detection.
