Hands-On Geotech Labs for a Virtual Learner
(Georgia Institute of Technology, 2022-06) Stypulkowski, A. Lynnae
This project was done in coordination with the Blended Online Learning Discipline Fellowship. It aims to provide more opportunities for students to learn about geotechnical engineering when participating in a distanced or virtual learning environment. The project itself consists of videos and documentation of experimental assignments to go along with each video. The experiments are simple and are supposed to aid in comprehension of each geotechnical topic. The experimental results are not to be used in actual geotechnical work, but purely for learning purposes.

Everything You Need to Know for Experiments Requiring Imaging Systems
(Georgia Institute of Technology, 2022-06) Yraguen, Boni
This project will provide students with the foundational knowledge to be able to conduct experiments which require imaging systems. Many fields and many student's find themselves taking some type of images for their research, yet imaging is not their area of expertise. Experimentalists need the foundational knowledge and to be able to design appropriate imaging systems for their studies. Additionally, to properly analyze imaging data, experimentalists need a foundational understanding of imaging systems in order to appropriately quantify their results. This online module will guide novice students through self-guided reading and exercises which will help prepare students to design and conduct their own experiments!

Atlanta’s Sport History Tik Tok Series
(Georgia Institute of Technology, 2022) Abernethy, Declan
This project uses Tik Toks, roughly ninety seconds long, to educate viewers on Atlanta’s conflicted sport history. This project is not meant to be hagiographic, but rather critically analyze the city’s lengthy history. Educators might use these videos to introduce secondary school students, early college students, or other interested learners in sport history or Atlanta’s history. The videos are meant to be both an introduction to this history and a conversation starter for interested students.

    Laser Scanner Digital Demonstrator
(Georgia Institute of Technology, 2022) Shankar, Abhishek
Scanner is a digital demonstrator of a laser scanner. The demonstrator provides students an opportunity to gain hands-on learning experience by replacing a physical instrument. This is valuable when such physical devices are not available. The digital demonstrator is applied in a building construction scenario. The intent of this digital device is to serve as a testbed for other digital demonstrators, primarily for STEM education. Scanner enables equipment access to students in remote learning environments or in situations where access to equipment is restricted. Scanner can also be used as an instructional tool in a classroom setting to showcase the functionality of the physical instrument.
