dc.description Lynn Durham is the Assistant Vice President and Chief of Staff to Georgia Tech President G. P. "Bud" Peterson. She came to Georgia Tech in 1995 in the Office of Government Relations and joined the Office of the President in 2006. She is a member of the President’s Cabinet and works closely with the areas of government relations, communications, diversity, development, student affairs and athletics. en_US
dc.description Jennifer Herazy has served in the Office of the Provost since 2001. As Assistant Provost, she serves as the Chief of Staff to the Provost and Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs. This includes establishing the administrative structure and directing the operations of the office, and supervising the administrative, human resources, and financial management teams. In this position, she oversees the Office of the Provost financial accounts and distribution of funds allocated to the Provost for faculty hiring and retention; she counsels the Provost regarding financial allocation, budget management, and financial strategy. Additionally, Jennifer leads Provost initiated committees and projects and promotes the Provost’s objectives through communications, problem solving, and management of projects. en_US

dc.description.abstract Lynn Durham and Jennifer Herazy will discuss Georgia Tech's leadership organization and reporting structures. They will review the operations and functions and share insights into the decision making process at the Institute's highest levels. They will also review how the President and Provost interact with their leadership teams and provide insight into the daytoday activities, decisions and challenges of the Institute’s executives. During this session, they will outline the functions of various leadership and governance meetings and groups such as the President’s Cabinet, the Dean’s meetings, faculty governance and specially appointed groups such as the Strategic Plan Advisory Group and task forces. en_US
