The attached data files in "Simulaton_code.zip" contains the Matlab codes required to generate a simulation that evaluates air traffic control cost. Included in "simulation_codes.zip" are "readme_auto.txt" and "readme_CDR.txt," which contain information about two types of simulations. "Simulation_code.zip" also contains the folder "AdanBase", "conflict", "flownetwork", "matlab_codes", and "sector_mat", as well as the pdf "taskloadCodesArchitecture.pdf". "Simulation_code.zip" contains 80 folders, within which are 2,306 files. Input data was extracted from historical flight patterns. Information on the methods used can be found in two papers: Gariel, M., Srivastava, A. N., and Feron, E., "Trajectory clustering and an application to airspace monitoring," IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, vol. 12, no. 4, pp. 1511-1524, 2011. Marzuoli, A., Gariel, M., Vela, A. E., and Feron, E., Air traffic optimization on a data-based network flow model," in 30th Digital Avionics Systems Conference, 2011. These files were last revised in May 2013. Software used to analyze the data included the following: Matlab, IBM ILOG Cplex Optimizer, and Python.
