IAC Professors Remember Tyler Brown who Died Fighting in Iraq

When U. S. Army 1 st Lt. Tyler Hall Brown, class of 2001 (commissioned from ROTC at Georgia Tech; student government president; and Management and History, Technology and Society major), was killed in combat in Iraq on September 14, the Tech community gathered at his funeral service to pay homage to a fallen hero. His professors remember their many encounters and exchanges with him with sadness, nostalgia, and pride.

Professor Steven Usselman

Vice President/ President Elect of the Society for the History of Technology is a professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology

Professor Steven Usselman has been elected Vice President/President-Elect of the prestigious Society for the History of Technology (SHOT), which is the leading international scholarly organization in its field. Professor Usselman will begin a two-year term as Vice President in January 2005 and serve as President in 2007 and 2008.
