OK so I am here presenting the tower
the undergraduate research journal and

Georgia Tech.

My name is Emily Weigel and I'm the SO
see it as if a submission interview.

Now the entire board is asking
to come here to recruit

on behalf of papers on behalf of getting
everyone four different departments over

journal there are people who
work on editing there are people

who work on reviewing their people
who work on the business side.

So basically it's interdisciplinary we get
papers from everywhere across campus and

everyone is welcome from across
the entire campus to work on stuff.

So you don't have to be a scientist
you just have to go to Tech.

That's all you have to worry about
your research doesn't necessarily have

to be done attack.

You don't necessarily
have to always be a tech

with the only purpose is to showcase
inspire and promote research.

So as you see on what
they are promoting Yes.

We have that men who is inspiring you and
one of you that is for

these people are at the top of the rocket
so they're showcasing That's our job.

We're to showcase research effect So

here's the board anyone
recognizes levelly that's me.

So there's our entire board as you can see
it does not have the normal tech ratio

Yes there's to our editor
in chief on the left

that we have aired who's
in charge of business.

So if you want to do anything with
promoting the tower as far as visual and

just management type stuff talk to her and
yet the rest of us.

So there's two again.

So we have business production of you
in web design who we saw in order on

the other things so business is just
getting out the word about the tower

production is visually getting out
the word more of that interview

is the actual content and web design is
informing us the world about ourselves.

So any undergraduate or
graduate who's doing research and

has inquiries about it at Tech.

You're welcome.

And it's all majors we want to emphasize
that you don't have to be a science or

engineering major to be involved in
fact many of the papers actually come in

are not from those major so

please consider submitting
something if if you choose.

Now what to submit there
are articles dispatches and

perspectives articles or the typical
journal type article things you find

something you'd find more than not
in nature or something like that.

Dispatches are more like research
recent progress on research topics or

on anything else perspective you
just like your ideas on the topic.

So we are always accepting submissions
of the main reason why I'm here.

We need submissions we accept on a rolling
basis and you can check out our website

which has the stink deadlines on there but
anytime you want to submit something you

would talk to anyone on the board they
were trying to help you actually get done

with your article and submit it and
they will help you get it done.

So the business side if you want
to help out with business you need

to do advertisements if you find this
funny if you're funnier than this help

us out come talk to us.

Really we need as much support as we
can get on getting the word out about

the power it's a great thing and
more people should know about it.

That's why I'm here and
we need more people to do it.

So at this level hurry up.

We need creative people like
my camera phone that's great.

We need more people who can actually
produce things that are our creative and

show technological background to it

because after all we are a tech we need
to show that kind of spin on things.

So if you are able to
do this kind of stuff.

this kind of thing.

Here's my favorite thing for viewing most
science is a guy with a new streamlined

peer review process is quite an
improvement that was my job this year to

streamline their due process so
now we have at least six people looking

at every one of your papers helping
you create the most amazing paper by

the end of it gets published publications
are very good on graduate school and

medical school and anything you want to
do it looks very nice web design don't do

this if you are capable of doing something
that does not look like this that looks

better than this talk to us we need
people who can actually do web design and

who can show the world what Georgia Tech
in the tower can produce So if you can do

this please talk to us we love people
that can do this kind of thing.

So we just recently published our
printed shoe prints in my hands and

make sure you pick one up on your way
out there on the table behind you and

they're all over campus there are a couple
actually in the library there are people

in the student center there are a couple
in the bill Morton successor.

So if you guys are curious about what the
tower is actually about best way to do it.

Talk to one of us or
pick up an issue and read it yourself.

And that's the best way to tell you how
to gage your own stuff so talk to us and

corporate this kind of thing into
your coursework talk to professors

about doing it spread the word yourselves
if you're interested in being involved

the best way to do is to get people to
help you actually write your article and

help us with print journal
distribution if you see someone

who might be interested pass pass along.
